Party at the Patch!

So this post marks the one year anniversary of our "blogger.com" debut!  Daniel and I walked in shoes similar to our size last October, but little Miss Olivia's feet (along with the rest of her!) have definitely grown!  We had a blast this year, and enjoyed the company of extended family (Grammie K, Aunt Diana, Hailey, Taylor, Hunter, "Papa" and "Gigi," and Brody).  We love this annual Elgan family tradition, and truly enjoyed our sunshine-filled, smile-filled, family-filled visit to Bates Nut Farm this year!

Pre-pumpkin picnicking!  Lunch was yummy sandwiches and crunchy munchies!

What beautiful little faces!

Taking a time-out from our trek to pose before discovering all that awaited us!

Our first stop was the petting zoo.  Olivia initially assessed the situation...

and then she got comfortable!

A little reminiscent of the "Where's Waldo?" books is this next photo; where's Olivia?!  Mom chases behind to the left of the picture to make sure that no animal was injured by one little rambunctious 18.5 month old!

Next we rode the train around the farm...very exciting!

Then we went and checked out the bale of hay/corn maze.  These little scarecrows were just too  cute!

Our mission was to locate all the stamps!

Here, we found the most adorable pumpkins in the whole entire patch!
From left to right: Olivia's "Papa" (Grandpa, in a hat as usual), Olivia's cousins Brody, Taylor, and Hailey, and little Miss O herself on the end!

What a difference a year makes!

When there were so many pumpkins to become acquainted with, there was definitely no time for photo "opps" with mommy!

A very careful pumpkin picker-outer indeed!

With the wind blowing through her hair and a bit of wonder in her eyes, there was no passing up this picture of O riding in the wheelbarrow!

She's the "Queen of the World!"  Here is Miss Olivia, practicing for her Olympic debut in balance beam!

Finally, we came to the check out area...with scales ready, we approached the big weigh-in!

A few parting shots were taken by Grammie K.  Here we are, with this year's prize-worthy pumpkins!

Happy Halloween!
