Thanksgiving hardly ever gets the attention it so rightfully deserves, thanks to being wedged between Halloween and Christmas (AHHHHHH!)! This year, we woke up and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade on television. We got ready, and headed up to Ama's for some good company and yummy food!
She already is gearing up for Christmas (note the bell)... poor Thanksgiving.
The "kids' table," where eating olives couldn't possibly be any more fun!
This was the first meal I had enjoyed in a LONG time! The pregnancy sickness was finally subsiding! Delightful! And yes, I ate it all. Proudly.
Love him! So handsome!
Ama and her five grandchildren (for the time being)!
Best of cousins! Best of friends!
After dinner, the family (with the exception of football watching Greg and pregnant me) went on a stroll around the neighborhood to walk off dinner and make room for dessert. What a nice idea!
When they returned, everyone pitched in to help finish decorating the outside of Ama's house for Christmas. Danny and Jimmy had already put up the lights earlier in the day, so just the finishing touches were required!
Once the bows were in place, the kids got to "feed" the lit up reindeer. Who would have known that reindeer diet on doggy kibbles?!
To keep with tradition, the days that followed our Thanksgiving feast consisted of lugging out the MANY Christmas tubs, having lights strewn about the lawn, borrowing ladders from Matt, and Christmasizing the indoors. AHHHHHHH! Bring out the boughs of evergreens! Bring out the wreaths! Bring out the ribbon and bring on the bows! Bring out Santa! Christmas time is here again!
Somebody's little personal tree even went up...
and we gave three cheers for all that awaited us this upcoming Christmas season!
