Christmas morning...

Tuesday morning brought sun and gifts from Santa! The day began at 7:00 a.m. (Olivia's usual waking time) and we headed downstairs, ready to experience Olivia's first Christmas! Grandma and Grandpa had stayed the night, so they, too, were ready to share in the festivities! Olivia opened gifts, played with gifts, and posed for pictures (of course). Emily opened her book; this year, Daniel chose Maya Angelou's Amazing Peace for her for so many reasons that shall not be gone into here...LOL. Daniel opened the ornament Emily had chosen for him this year: a Hallmark "Nightmare Before Christmas" one of Jack Skellington (because how can you possibly go wrong when you have combined Halloween and Christmas?!). After some tears of joy (because we all know, including Emily, how emotional Emily is), some final pictures, and a wave goodbye from Olivia, Grandma and Grandpa headed out in "the beast" to give Daniel, Emily, and Olivia some downtime before the next guests rolled into the Elgan home! With some fresh appetizers on the table, a picked up house, and Olivia operating on a one hour nap, the Elgan side came together for an afternoon/evening of fun.

Is that a new car seat I see in the background? To bad Aislyn had to get a new one when she was 6 months old! We must be feeding her "Grow Baby"! Tiny little O isn't so tiny anymore!

Yes, that would be a new, shiny, sparkly, ready to go carseat...you didn't use rocks apparently ("WHAT????????????? What does that mean????????????") As always, thanks for helping out your silly friend who doesn't always "get" things ...
