Great expectations were what we had for Danny's thirtieth birthday, as we had been planning a very sentimental Disneyland trip for weeks! We were beyond excited to go on Daniel's actual birthday for what would be Olivia's first trip to the happiest place on Earth! "Ama" even took the day off to join us in the fun!
But when October 7 rolled around, Emily was sick. SICK. SICK! We attributed the early morning queasiness to usual pregnancy woes, but it did not go away. Let's just say a green Emily christened Disneyland many a time with the contents of her stomach... to this day, Daniel swears I had a bout of the swine flu!
In spite of Emily's occasional disappearances to the bathroom, to the side of the Matterhorn, or just outside of Mickey's house, the show went on... and while Emily cheered sporadically from the sidelines, Olivia got her first taste of Mickey's playground. And Daniel got his first taste of a new decade! Happy birthday, honey! It was one heck of a ride!

Some things never change. Emily was a big "Small World" fan as a kid and would love to ride it over and over... turns out it was the only ride she went on with her family on this day!
The wait was forever... but how cool that we got to meet Minnie and Mickey!
